Hi Chandra, your food looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteI am having a friendly competition on my blog for the best soup in February, come by and leave me a soup to try, you could win something nice for your kitchen! Where can I get sambar powder?
Good Luck!
Viv~
Yes, these do look good! I'm thinking this Sunday, after being out riding (bike) they would be great to have. :)
ReplyDelete@VV,
ReplyDeleteYou can get Sambar Powder from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/MTR-Sambar-Powder-200-gms/dp/B000MIR7NI/ref=sr_1_3?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1295810600&sr=1-3), but you may also find it in your local Indian/Asian/Middle Eastern grocery store.
In this recipe, I have used Sambar Powder instead of concocting my own spice mix, simply as a matter of convenience.
Sambar Powder is NOT what I use to make my Sambar. My recipe for Sambar is here - http://vegetariancyclist.blogspot.com/2010/11/four-nice-dishes.html.
I will submit my "soup" recipe soon!
Peace :)
@PA,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment.
Have a great ride and let me know how your dishes turn out.
Peace :)
